This section of the website presents several kinds of data from the PFE project as well as other resources for phytolith researchers.

The Phytolith Production Tables were compiled from the literature in 1997, prior to the beginning of the project.

The MU Phytolith Classification System was developed as a desktop identification aid to provide consistency in classifying phytoliths and keeping track of unknowns.

The Order Tables are detailed compilations of phytoliths observed in plant specimens studied during the PFE project.

Counting Forms used at the MU lab include the diagnostic counting form, the economic counting form, and the short cell counting form. These forms are designed for use in the lowland Neotropics.
